There Are More Of Us Than You Think!

In 1998, seven women in the Boerne area joined together to form the Cibolo Democratic Women. The group was dedicated to promoting “the increased political activity and influence of Democratic women in Texas politics and government.” In 1999, the name changed to the Kendall County Area Democratic Women and became a political action committee. In the ensuing twenty years, the group was active in local, state, and national politics. In the fall of 2017, the name was changed again to Boerne Area Democrats. This name better reflects the diverse membership of women and men from the Boerne area.

The mission of the Boerne Area Democrats is to inspire, inform, and involve like-minded individuals in an inclusive community to grow political awareness and activism while promoting democratic ideals.

To achieve our mission, the Boerne Area Democrats:

  • Promote increased representation of Democrats in Party and government institutions

  • Promote the increased political activity and influence of Democrats in Texas politics and government

  • Provide support for democrats working in Democratic Party organizations and campaigns, and for those seeking Party or public office

  • Promote legislative, executive and judicial policy which enhances equitable representation of all persons in Democratic Party and governmental affairs.
